I am currently on the phone with someone trying to get some information about a loan Maria and I have so they can continue processing our home loan. I can not understand a thing this man is saying and I don't know if he understands me. I know we borrowed the money and it shows on our credit report that we have borrowed money but this man says I don't exist.
When in this or similar situations is it rude to ask for someone who speaks better English?

No, it isn't rude - if you make the point in a kind manner.
Sometimes it is the only option available when there's just no way around the problem.
Are you kidding me! I am all for people working and supporting their lives and family. But you have to watch out for yourself also. This is a big thing that you need to make sure everything is in good order and no screw ups. You will already have screwups with someone who does speak english well. So ask away, just do it respectfully.
arent you fluent in spanish?
That is frustrating. I think it is not rude, when it is something so important.
