No pictures but plenty of good memories.

That's right... we took a three day cruise to Ensenada Mexico and back and did not take a single picture. We both realize the shame in this but have gotten over it.

We had such a good time. We left Friday morning at about 4:30 am and made it to LA early enough to go to a movie. We watched August Rush which turned out to be an OK movie. We boarded the ship at about 2:00 and I ran Maria ragged discovering every part of the ship. This was my first time cruising and I wanted to see the view from each level, deck 12 all the way down to deck 4. We did not waste any time in ensuring that we got our monies worth of food and found our way to deck 11 where they were serving a lunch buffet. The food during the cruise was amazing. We ate beef fillets, lobster bisque, escargot, roasted duck, mahi-mahi and much, much more. Aside from eating we also enjoyed many great activities including: comedy performances, movies, pictionary (our team won), categories, belly-flop contests (we enjoyed this one as spectators only), cooking demos, raffles, and so much more. All of this was on the ship though! We also enjoyed a great day on land in Ensenada. We took a tour up the the Mercado and la Bufanda (open market and natural blow hole) and enjoyed the entire experience. Our guide, Zoila, was very nice and amusing. The market was fun but the vendor solicitations in the street got a bit annoying. We enjoyed lunch at a little restaurant that looked down over the market.

Overall we had an enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone. We feel that we got our money's worth and are considering doing it all over again.

We had such a great time...

This weekend we went up north for Carrie and Tim's reception in SJ and had such a great weekend.

We started by waking up super early on Saturday and meeting at Jennifer's house (she drove us up there). We were on the road by six and made it to Snowflake at a quarter til nine and had breakfast at the Bed and Breakfast where we were going to stay that night. Breakfast was so good. There was a British couple eating also and we had a lot of fun meeting and conversing with them. After breakfast we went with the owner of the B&B for a little tour of the neighboring reception hall and antique store. Then we visited only a moment with Grandpa and Grandma Wilhelm before returning to the bead and breakfast for massages (aaahhhh!). After that we got ready and headed to SJ and had dinner at El Camino which is always good. We then went to the reception which was very nice then we returned to Snowflake and enjoyed a good nights rest. We had breakfast again and took it easy most the morning. About 11 am we went for a cruise around the Temple and looked at all the house they are building near there (Maria got a bit car sick with all the U-turns). We went and had lunch at Jennifer's grandparents house and then returned home.

It was such a great and relaxing weekend. It felt much longer than just two days.

It is hard to believe that Maria and I are approaching our first year anniversary this week! Time has flown. We have had plenty of good times and only a few not so good times, overall I think we have had it relatively easy (knock-on-wood).

This week is going to be a busy week for us too. We have a funeral, a wedding, two receptions, a trip up north, work, school, and geek squad all to deal with this week. I guess celebrating our anniversary with so much chaos is a good representation of the last year. As great as it has been it has been a busy year. We were, though, able to plan ahead. Knowing that this week was going to be a busy one we scheduled to celebrate next week. Maria and I are going to go on a three day cruise to Ensenada after Thanksgiving Day. I am sure we are going to have a great time.

Well that is about as much of an update that you are going to get today.
